Soccer Game Preview: Diamond Ranch vs. Chino

The Diamond Ranch Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Chino Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Wednesday, Diamond Ranch came up short against Montclair and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Chino kept a clean sheet against Ontario on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged the Jaguars out 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Cowboys were the better team in the second half.

The win got Chino back to even at 6-6-1. As for Diamond Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Diamond Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Chino in their previous meeting on January 8th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Diamond Ranch since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
