Basketball Game Preview: Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers vs. Palmer Tigers

The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers will take on the Palmer Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Newman Grove/St. Edward came up short against Nebraska Christian and fell 56-46. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Newman Grove/St. Edward had strong showings from Allyx Forre, who posted 14 points and seven boards, and Kailey Patzel, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds. Patzel has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 24 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Werts, who shot 71% from the field on her way to 12 points.
