Recap: Hanford Bullpups vs. Tulare Union The Tribe
There's no place like home for the Hanford Bullpups, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They strolled past Tulare Union with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-33. That's another feather in the cap for Hanford, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Hanford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenyah Stubbs, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Stubbs is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyson Bone, who scored 13 points.
Tulare Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Hatton, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jazzlynn Miller, who scored five points.
Hanford pushed their record up to 12-12 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Tulare Union, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-16.
Hanford will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulare Western at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hanford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Tulare Union, they will head out on the road to take on Mission Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Tulare Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Mission Oak is ranked 252nd).
