After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wheeler County, Portal was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Burke County Bears as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The win got Portal back to even at 1-1. As for Burke County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Portal will square off against Bryan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Burke County, they will venture away from home to challenge Evans at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
