Football Game Preview: Scranton Knights vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns

The Scranton Knights will square off against the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Scranton's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Valley View on Friday. They were outmatched by the Cougars and fell 28-0. The Knights have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Wallenpaupack Area also failed to score in their most recent game. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of Scranton Prep. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Buckhorns were not able to get on the board.

Wallenpaupack Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Scranton, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Everything went Scranton's way against Wallenpaupack Area in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Scranton made off with a 31-7 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buckhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
