Basketball Recap: Conrad Weiser's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conrad Weiser). They put the hurt on the Hamburg Hawks with a sharp 52-30 victory on Tuesday. The Scouts pushed the score to 45-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks cut but never quite recovered from.

Conrad Weiser's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Bossler led the charge by shooting 55% from the field on her way to 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 13 points gave Bossler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Geniva Paul, who went 5-for-11 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Conrad Weiser's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. As for Hamburg, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Conrad Weiser and Hamburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Scouts will square off against rival Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hamburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Wyomissing at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
