Football Game Preview: Uniontown Eagles vs. Pleasanton Blu-Jays

Uniontown is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Pleasanton a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Uniontown Eagles will host the Pleasanton Blu-Jays at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Uniontown is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Erie 39-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Uniontown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colter Powell led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 13 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Powell has posted since back in October of 2024. Another back making a difference was Gaige Lape, who rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Uniontown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Pleasanton had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 41-6 win over Southeast. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-6.

The victory got Uniontown back to even at 3-3. As for Pleasanton, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
