Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Verdugo Hills made sure to put some goals up on the board against Poly on Saturday. They blew past the Parrots 5-0. Considering the Dons' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Poly with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Silveira (2), Amy Valdez (2), and Paola Moreno.

Verdugo Hills is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 11 matchups. Canoga Park's record is now 10-2.
