Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Mascoutah

The Springfield Senators will be taking part in a tournament against the Mascoutah Indians at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Springfield's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Champaign Central as they made off with a 6-0 victory. That looming 6-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Springfield yet this season.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Mascoutah who was credited with the win on Friday. The Indians got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Von Steuben's four.

The victory got Springfield back to even at 3-3. As for Mascoutah, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.
