Basketball Recap: Reece Mlady Key Part of Team Effort in Bobcats Win

Blue Hill lost to Deshler back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Blue Hill Bobcats came out on top against the Deshler Dragons by a score of 41-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Blue Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reece Mlady led the charge by dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. Mlady is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 19 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ellie Mangers, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 18 points.

Blue Hill's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Deshler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Blue Hill will take on Red Cloud at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Cloud will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Blue Hill surely won't give up without a fight. Deshler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
