Softball Recap: David Emanuel Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Vidalia Heritage Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask David Emanuel Academy). They never let Vidalia Heritage Academy get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Thursday. David Emanuel Academy hasn't had any issues with Vidalia Heritage Academy recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Aubrey Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kaley Flowers was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Yeomans, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.

David Emanuel Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vidalia Heritage Academy only managed one hit.

David Emanuel Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Emanuel Academy will head out to challenge Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, they will challenge Twiggs Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
