Football Game Preview: Anna Coyotes vs. Palo Duro Dons

Two dominant signal callers in Ziondre Williams and Julian Reese II are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Anna Coyotes will square off against the Palo Duro Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Anna comes in on four and Palo Duro on ten.

Anna is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 35-25 victory over Mansfield Timberview.

Anna's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ace Traylor, who rushed for 134 yards on only 15 carries. Traylor's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Cor'Mond Houston was in the mix as well, providing Anna with two TDs.

Anna didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Mansfield Timberview to a completion percentage of just 47.6%. The team can thank Israel Johnson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Anna hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.5 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Anna's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Kaiden Banks was especially locked on to Mansfield Timberview's QB and sacked him four times. Banks also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Anna got some further help from Jaden Parker: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palo Duro). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-7 victory over Hanks. With the Dons ahead 42-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Anna better keep an eye on Kyron Brown. He was instrumental in Palo Duro's win, picking up 112 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most receiving yards Brown has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Amariyea James, who gained 90 total yards and a touchdown.
