Basketball Recap: Heritage Skates Past KIPP King with Ease

On Saturday, the Heritage Patriots couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 66-29 blowout they got against the KIPP King Lions.

Leading Heritage to victory were Lily Wilright and Olachi Nwosu. Wilright almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Nwosu dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Riley Bayot was another key player, putting up eight points.

Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for KIPP King, they moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
