Baseball Recap: Grovetown Gets the Win

Grovetown owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Rockdale County Bulldogs. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Ethan Strength's shutout, as he gave up just seven hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Grovetown is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 7-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Grovetown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boston Rowan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Grovetown's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Rockdale County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grovetown beat the Bulldogs by a score of 13-3 later that day.
