Morgan Park and Brooks are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Morgan Park has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morgan Park fell victim to Andrew and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 14-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooks let Kenwood stack seven runs on them in the seventh inning on Friday but luckily Brooks prevailed anyway. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Broncos 12-11.

Justin Slaughter was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jared Ramsey was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Morgan Park now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Brooks, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Morgan Park has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brooks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Morgan Park skirted past Brooks 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
