Softball Recap: Sprayberry Yellow Jackets vs. Blessed Trinity Titans

Sprayberry had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it ten. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blessed Trinity Titans. The Yellow Jackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Graci Pederson put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Pederson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Jordan Simpson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

As for Blessed Trinity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. 11 seems to be a good number for them as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sprayberry will head out to challenge Paulding County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Blessed Trinity, they will venture away from home to square off against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
