Coventry waltzed into their contest on Thursday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs a 16-0 shutout. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Collin Harrington made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dominic DeAngelis, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Mather Spear was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coventry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games.

Coventry's record now sits at 16-1. As for Lyman Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Coventry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Woodstock Academy on the 22nd. As for Lyman Memorial, they will take on Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
