Baseball Game Preview: Glide Wildcats vs. Lowell Red Devils

The Glide Wildcats will challenge the Lowell Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Glide's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.

Glide might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-11 to Mapleton/Siuslaw, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Oakridge hit Lowell with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Ben Thurman made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carter Harris, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Glide's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Lowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.
