Basketball Game Preview: Cowanesque Valley Indians vs. Williamson Warriors

The Cowanesque Valley Indians will face off against the Williamson Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cowanesque Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Sayre 65-30. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Williamson hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against North Penn-Liberty by a score of 38-25 on Tuesday.

Williamson's win came from a few key players Cowanesque Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kenna Thomas, who posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Maddy Jones, who had nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Williamson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Williamson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Cowanesque Valley, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Cowanesque Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Williamson when the teams last played back in January, winning 56-47. Will Cowanesque Valley repeat their success, or does Williamson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
