Recap: Hull-Daisetta Bobcats vs. Deweyville Pirates
The Hull-Daisetta Bobcats lost against the Deweyville Pirates back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hull-Daisetta was dealt a 52-14 loss at the hands of Deweyville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hull-Daisetta in their matchups with Deweyville: they've now lost five in a row.
Deweyville had a senior duo take command as Cj Milton rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries and Elijah Curl rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Milton was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
Hull-Daisetta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Deweyville, the win was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Hull-Daisetta will head out on the road to face off against Colmesneil at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colmesneil is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Deweyville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sabine Pass at 7:00 p.m. Sabine Pass comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
