Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Brookline

Brookline waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Framingham Flyers. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Flyers back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Eli Hoffman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Brookline is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-11 otherwise. Hoffman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Fitzgerald, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Brookline: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

Brookline's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-12. As for Framingham, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Brookline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Framingham, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Canton at 4:00 p.m. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Flyers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
