Football Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Winfield fell victim to Augusta and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Orioles and fell 40-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kellen Gibson threw for 104 yards on seven of 14 attempts. Evan Hutto was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

Owen Roberts had an outrageously good game for Augusta as he rushed for 186 yards on only nine carries. Roberts' longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards. Augusta also got help from Brecken Albert, who showed off his sure hands for 116 receiving yards.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Augusta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Winfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-27 loss against McPherson on the 26th. As for Augusta, they have also already played their next contest, a 26-23 defeat against Mulvane on the 26th.
