Soccer Recap: Hoover Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burroughs, Hoover was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Glendale Nitros a 3-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Tornados as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Katie Coppersmith and Violet Isavi scored all three of Hoover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Hoover's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-11-1. As for Glendale, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14-1.

As of now, neither Hoover nor Glendale have any future games scheduled.
