Baseball Recap: Harris County Comes Up Short

Harris County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.1 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell just short of the Central Lions by a score of 10-9. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

Cayden Dimitri was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Colt Angel was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Harris County and nudges their season record down to 15-5. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Harris County Tigers take on Schley County Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will face off against Starr's Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
