Baseball Recap: Crook County Cowboys vs. Ridgeview Ravens

Crook County had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-20 to make it 13. They fell 6-3 to the Ridgeview Ravens. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss on Wednesday.

As for Ridgeview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.

For Ridgeview's part, Finn Chambers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Chambers has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ryden Nakamura was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Aiden Scott also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
