Soccer Game Preview: Mammoth vs. Frazier Mountain

The Mammoth Huskies will challenge the Frazier Mountain Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frazier Mountain took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mammoth, who comes in off a win.

Mammoth headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Desert let them put that streak behind them. Mammoth never let Desert onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Huskies' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Desert with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kayla Fierro (2), Ele Brode, and Hailey Altamirano.

Meanwhile, Frazier Mountain has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 7. They came up short against Kern Valley on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Mammoth is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those eight games. As for Frazier Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Mammoth took their win against Frazier Mountain in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 3-0. Will Mammoth repeat their success, or does Frazier Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
