Recap: San Marino Titans vs. La Canada Spartans
The San Marino Titans suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-28 walloping at the hands of La Canada. While losing is never fun, San Marino can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while La Canada is ranked 261st).
Jennifer Musso continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for La Canada, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Musso has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Andrianna Pitsos, who scored seven points along with four steals.
San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for La Canada, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.
San Marino will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Pasadena at 5:30 p.m. South Pasadena has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 536 points over their last seven games. As for La Canada, they will head out on the road to take on Temple City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Temple City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday.
