Soccer Recap: Lovett Takes a Loss

Lovett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack. While losing is never fun, Lovett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Whitefield Academy are ranked 51st).

Lovett's goal came courtesy of Hill Mauldin, who's now up to 16 this season.

Lovett now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Whitefield Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lovett will face off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitefield Academy, they will square off against Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
