Softball Recap: Weld Central Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Weld Central's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Silver Creek Raptors on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Weld Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Landers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.

Weld Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Silver Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Weld Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-7 win against Jefferson Academy on the 27th. As for Silver Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 14-4 loss against Lyons on the 27th.
