Baseball Game Preview: Briggs Bruins vs. Whetstone Braves

Briggs hasn't had much luck against Whetstone recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Braves at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Briggs came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Bishop Ready by a score of 9-7 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Whetstone lost 12-5 to Westland on Monday.

Kaiden Kirk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zo Fox, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Briggs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Whetstone, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Briggs might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Whetstone in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
