Basketball Recap: Contra Costa Christian Falls to San Francisco Waldorf in First Game of Season

Contra Costa Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 48-38 to the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines on Thursday.

San Francisco Waldorf found their leader in freshman Lola Kapka, who shot 69% from the field on her way to 21 points. Zoe Rhoads was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Contra Costa Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Averroes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Francisco Waldorf, they will welcome Galileo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
