Softball Recap: Humboldt Takes a Loss

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Boone Toreadors. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Toreadors when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Boone, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Humboldt and Boone will both be playing Dowling Catholic the next time they take the field. The Toreadors will host the Maroons at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
