Soccer Recap: Athens Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lakeview Academy on Tuesday, Athens Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the George Walton Academy Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against George Walton Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Athens Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for George Walton Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Athens Christian nor George Walton Academy have any future games scheduled.
