Basketball Recap: Bodine Comes Up Short

After flying high against Philadelphia Academy Charter last Wednesday, Bodine came back down to earth. Bodine were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 25-24 to the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER. Bodine was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kensington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Kensington was led to victory by CRYSTA JENKINS and ANNIE ORTIZ. JENKINS posted eight points, while ORTIZ earned seven points.

Bodine moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Kensington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Bodine won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Academy at Palumbo at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Bodine's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Academy at Palumbo's offense will have their work cut out for them. Kensington has already played their next game (against George Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
