Football Game Preview: Parma Panthers vs. New Plymouth Pilgrims + How To Watch

Parma hasn't had much luck against New Plymouth recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Pilgrims at 7:00 p.m. Neither Parma nor New Plymouth posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Parma is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Marsing on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers took a blow against the Huskies, falling 45-7. The Panthers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, New Plymouth hadn't done well against Melba recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Pilgrims made off with a 7-6 win over the Mustangs. The victory was familiar territory for the Pilgrims, who have now won three games in a row.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Parma, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Parma was dealt a bruising 62-0 loss at the hands of New Plymouth in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
