South Garner took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against the West Johnston Wildcats as they made off with a 20-0 win. The Titans not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23, 2024 (when they won 27-7).

South Garner's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alijah Clarke, who rushed for 177 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Clarke was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Devin Shoulars was another key signal caller, throwing for 205 yards and one TD.

South Garner's run defense was locked in: West Johnston could only muster 1.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Joseph Bailey for the heroic effort on defense: he. South Garner didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.6.
