Football Game Preview: Woodbridge Barrons vs. Summit Hilltoppers

The Woodbridge Barrons will challenge the Summit Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodbridge will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

If Woodbridge beats Summit with 41 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Barrons came out on top against Montgomery by a score of 41-31 on Friday.

It was another big night for Joshua Allen, who rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Another player making a difference was Kyle Campos, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Woodbridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 414 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Summit didn't have quite enough to beat Bernards on Saturday and fell 17-14. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodbridge's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Woodbridge beat Summit 28-17 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Barrons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hilltoppers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
