Softball Recap: Comanche Indians vs. Marlow Outlaws
Comanche extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 8-22. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlow Outlaws. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Outlaws since Tuesday.
As for Marlow, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17. The game was the first time they have beaten Comanche on their field since September 9, 2019.
For Marlow's part, Kylee Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jenna McKinley, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comanche will host MacArthur at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marlow, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Casady at 5:00 p.m. The Cyclones have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.21 runs per game on average), something the Outlaws will no doubt try to take advantage of.
