Basketball Game Preview: Cheraw Braves vs. Virtus Academy Wolves + How To Watch

The Cheraw Braves will venture away from home to face off against the Virtus Academy Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cheraw is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Catawba Ridge on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Braves came up short against the Copperheads, falling 61-39.

Despite the defeat, Cheraw got top-tier performance from Elijah McClain, who went 6-for-13 en route to 21 points. McClain's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jabian Quick, who posted five points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Virtus Academy lost 54-33 to Hannah-Pamplico on Tuesday. The Wolves were down 45-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Virtus Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cheraw, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
