McFarland's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Parlier Panthers by a score of 21-14. The 21-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Malachi Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 81 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also throwing for 276 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making ten total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Julian Barajas was Davis' top target, picking up 134 receiving yards and one score.

Another reason for the win was McFarland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

McFarland's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Parlier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McFarland will host Yosemite at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Parlier, they will square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games.
