Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbus International). Everything went their way against the Beechcroft Cougars on Wednesday as they made off with a 29-2 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Beechcroft, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Columbus International is set to square off against their familiar foe Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Beechcroft will face off against rival Linden-McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
