Poly had won three straight home games and Isabella Cruz did her part to make it four on Saturday. The Poly Parrots pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over the North Hollywood Huskies thanks in part to Cruz, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 18 boards. Those 18 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Poly has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for North Hollywood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Poly and North Hollywood will both be playing Monroe the next time they take the court. North Hollywood will head out to face Monroe at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while Poly will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
