Schmidt Posts Huge Game in 52-6 Win
Starting off the list is Lubbock T's Korbin Schmidt, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Schmidt rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, and also caught a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended two passes.
Lubbock T pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Schmidt and Lubbock T will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on October 31st.

Peyton Ellison Turns in Season-Best Performance
Harvest Christian Academy was led to victory by Peyton Ellison, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ellison picked up 137 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending two passes.
Johnson County Sports Association's probably not too fond of Ellison given he always seems to get the better of them. When Ellison last faced the Lions back in November of 2023, he picked up 112 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

King's Academy Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Sam Tarrant
Sam Tarrant's big game helped extend King's Academy's winning streak to seven on Friday. Tarrant was unstoppable, rushing for 94 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 34 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
For the year, Tarrant has thrown 16 touchdowns while averaging 82.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 15.

Scott Dosa Delivers Best Effort of Season
Scott Dosa produced his most outstanding game to date while leading CenTex HomeSchool to the win on Friday. Dosa rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for CenTex HomeSchool: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.
CenTex HomeSchool moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. Dosa and CenTex HomeSchool will challenge Westlake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tucker Grayson Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Tucker Grayson of Johnson County Sports Association. Grayson picked up 28 receiving yards and a touchdown.
