Basketball Game Preview: Penn-Trafford Warriors vs. Indiana Little Indians

Penn-Trafford is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Indiana is on a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Penn-Trafford Warriors will welcome the Indiana Little Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Penn-Trafford beats Indiana with 63 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Penn-Trafford put the hurt on Kiski Area with a sharp 63-41 win on Monday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Penn-Trafford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamryn Pieper, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 17 points along with five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Pieper a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Marton, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Indiana humbled West Mifflin with a 60-28 victory.

Penn-Trafford's victory bumped their record up to 20-0. As for Indiana, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Penn-Trafford was able to grind out a solid victory over Indiana when the teams last played back in January, winning 50-37. Will Penn-Trafford repeat their success, or does Indiana have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
