Basketball Game Preview: Fort LeBoeuf Bison vs. Maplewood Tigers

The Fort LeBoeuf Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Maplewood Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Monday, Fort LeBoeuf was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to Warren. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Maplewood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 44-30 victory over the Cardinals.

Maplewood's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Fort LeBoeuf came up short against Maplewood when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 46-38. Can Fort LeBoeuf avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
