Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe Christian vs. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter

The Santa Fe Christian Eagles will face off against the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Cobras at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Santa Fe Christian's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Santa Fe Christian and Tri-City Christian finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Chula Vista Learning Community Charter came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Leopards a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting River Valley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Tristan Tessier led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 63 goals over those eight games. With that draw, Santa Fe Christian's record moves to 7-3-3.

Santa Fe Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Chula Vista Learning Community Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 3-1.
