Basketball Recap: Ben Holt College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Ben Holt College Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 35-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Venture Academy Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-47 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Ben Holt College Prep Academy lost, don't look at Faith Grim. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points.

Venture Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kimora Crawford led the charge by dropping a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds. That's the most points Crawford has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jereny Galtney, who had eight points in addition to eight boards and six steals.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Venture Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-34 victory against Millennium on the 11th. As for Venture Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 38-24 win against Turlock Christian on the 11th.
