Softball Recap: Gross Catholic Takes a Loss

Gross Catholic kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Ralston Rams by a score of 4-3. The Cougars have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Julianna Braun was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Gomez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Coincidentally, Gross Catholic and Ralston will both be playing Waverly the next time they take the field. The Rams will head out to face the Vikings at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
