Baseball Recap: West Prairie Triumphs

After losing to Beardstown the last time they met, West Prairie decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cyclones came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cyclones.

West Prairie's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Nelson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

West Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Beardstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

West Prairie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-8 win against Quincy Notre Dame on the 6th. As for Beardstown, they have also already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against Brown County on the 7th.
