After a string of five wins, McLoud's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They lost  15-5 to the North Rock Creek Cougars. The pitching woes were  uncharacteristic for the Redskins, who until this  matchup were averaging three  runs allowed.
  Avery Soward and  Miley Hicklin stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Soward  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Hicklin  went 2-for-4 with one  triple and two  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Hicklin has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayse Higdon, who  went 3-for-4 with one  run.
McLoud's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6-1. As for North Rock Creek, the  win was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.
 Coincidentally, McLoud and North Rock Creek will both be playing Mannford the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Pirates at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday, while the Redskins will head out to face them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
